Nothing ruins the first few hours of a trip like landing and realizing you have no way to get online. You’ve got a few options here:

2. Back Up Everything, Properly

6. Update Everything Before You Fly, Not During

Write down (physically, or in an easily accessible note) your phone’s IMEI number, your travel insurance hotline, and your bank’s emergency contact number. If your phone is lost or stops working entirely, you don’t want to be searching for these details without a phone to search on.
